Said skill is not easy to pull off, with there little time in which to weigh up your options when presented with a sight of the target. Swedish sensation Gyokeres does, however, appear to have taken inspiration from ex-Germany international Ozil.
Gyokeres bagged a hat-trick for Sporting in their stunning 4-1 Champions League mauling of Premier League title holders Manchester City, with his first of the night getting a nod from Ozil as he ran away from the Blues defence and bundled beyond Ederson in calculated style. Ozil has saluted said “chip shot”.
Clubs across Europe are now said to be mulling over big-money moves for former Coventry frontman Gyokores, after seeing him post remarkable numbers in Portugal. He has registered 66 goals through 67 appearances for Sporting, with Arsenal reported to be one of his many suitors.
